How to report an issue on Sukkan
Sign in, open the Issues area, describe what happened with photos and location. We track it, anonymise it, and surface community-wide patterns.
Sukkan is a private workspace for residents. Reporting an issue here doesn't replace the official channels (RTA, DEWA, your building management) — it captures patterns that those channels don't share publicly.
How to report
- Sign in at the top right of the site.
- Go to Your area → Your issues from the user menu.
- Click New issue.
- Pick a category (utilities, security, maintenance, transport, etc.).
- Add a title, description, photos if you have them, and a rough location.
- Choose visibility: private to you, or shared anonymously with the community feed.
What happens after
- Your issue appears in your private workspace immediately.
- If shared, it shows in the community feed without your name attached. Other residents can confirm they're seeing the same thing.
- The committee reviews community-wide trends weekly and raises them with the relevant authority.
What to also do
For anything time-sensitive — outages, security concerns, water leaks — file the official report too (DEWA 991, Police 999, your building management). Sukkan tracks the pattern; the official channels actually fix it.

Major issues are landlord; minor wear and a small per-incident threshold (typically AED 500–1,000) sit with the tenant.

A leak or burst pipe — what to do first
Stop water at the main, kill power if it's near electrics, document, then call the building/landlord. Don't wait — water damage compounds.
