What Sukkan is — and isn't
An independent, resident-run platform for Dubai. Not affiliated with any developer or government body, no ads, no fees.
Sukkan (سكان — "residents") is a community-run platform for people who live in Dubai's master-planned communities. It's editorial, civic, and independent.
What it is
- A news desk for what's actually happening — transport, infrastructure, property, lifestyle.
- A private workspace for your property — payment plans, maintenance log, contacts.
- A community channel for reporting and discussing issues with neighbours.
- A knowledge base (this FAQ) for the questions Dubai residents end up Googling.
What it isn't
- Not affiliated with the Government of Dubai, the RTA, the Dubai Land Department, the RDC, or any property developer.
- Not a brokerage or marketing site — we don't list properties, take referral fees, or post sponsored content.
- Not a paid service. There are no plans, ads, or upgrades.
- Not a replacement for official channels — for emergencies and formal complaints, use the relevant authority.
Built and maintained by residents, in their spare time. If we get something wrong, the fastest way to fix it is to write in.

The committee — what it is and isn't
A small group of residents who help run Sukkan editorially, escalate issues, and welcome new members. Not a legal Owners Committee.
