Nol card across Metro, bus, tram, and water bus
One card covers all RTA public transport. Pick the right tier for how often you'll use it.
The Nol card is the RTA's single payment card for public transport across Dubai — Metro, tram, public buses, water buses, and even some paid parking.
The card tiers
- Silver Nol (~AED 25, of which AED 19 is balance) — the everyday option for residents.
- Gold Nol — same setup, but lets you ride in Gold Class on the Metro (front cabin, premium seating). Fares are double.
- Personalised Nol — same as Silver but with your photo. Required for student / senior discounts and for monthly passes.
- Red Ticket — short-term paper ticket for occasional users.
Fares
Fares are zone-based — AED 3–7.50 per journey for Silver Nol on Metro / bus. Daily caps apply, so heavy commuters hit a ceiling. Monthly passes can work out cheaper if you commute every weekday.
Where to buy / top up
Every Metro station, most large supermarkets, and the RTA Smart app. Check the Nol app for balance and history.
